Frequently Asked Questions
eCounseling is the same high quality service as our mental health counseling except it is delivered over our secure video chat instead of in person at the office. This allows you the convenience of meeting with one of our wonderful therapists wherever you feel most comfortable.
Mental health counseling is where a psychologist, counselor, or therapist works with a client to help heal their mental illness or to work on mental health or life issues that a client finds distressing.
We currently offer counseling sessions of 25 or 50 minutes in length.
Parental consults are 20 minutes in length.
eCounseling takes place wherever you have a strong internet connection and an internet capable device with a microphone and camera such as a smart phone, laptop, or tablet. For best results, you should select a location on your end that is private and quiet, such as your home or private office.
The number of sessions you need will depend on many factors personal to your situation such as whether you are an individual or part of a couple or family, what issues you want help with, and how many. On average, people need about 5 sessions.
You need an Internet-capable device that can stream video, so a computer equipped with a camera and microphone, smartphone, or tablet will work. You will also need a quiet, private location where you will not be interrupted.
Parent coaching is a 20 minute session where we offer advice, solutions, and support for parents who may be struggling with their child.
